Advoc reaches North America
Wednesday 24th November 2010
INTERNATIONAL law network Advoc has extended its reach by adding North America to its fold with an official launch in Seattle.
The international network of law firms welcomed new members Lane Powell (Seattle, Portland, Anchorage, Olympia and Tacoma) and Robinson Cole (Boston, New York, Hartford, Stamford, White Plains, New London, Sarasota and Providence) at the inaugural meeting of Advoc North America.
UK representatives Simon Rous, Ian Daniells and Rachel Edwards from Ashfords LLP travelled to Seattle for the launch along with representatives from other member firms in Brazil, Australia, Denmark, Norway and the Dominican Republic.
Mr Rous, Chairman and Head of Corporate and Commercial at Ashfords, said: "We were delighted to join our international colleagues for the launch of Advoc North America.
"This is further proof of Ashfords' growing force in the international market as part of Advoc."
Advoc is an international network of independent law firms which was set up by Ashfords in 1991 to meet clients' demands for services in worldwide markets.
Advoc firms are leading, full-service practices within their own jurisdiction and each of the member firms have been invited to join because of their wide experience of commercial work in their own region.
