Doctors blamed by coroner for failing to properly refer patients - what are your legal rights?
Thursday 19th July 2012A Birmingham coroner has criticised the NHS for their 'gross failure' to refer a 15 year old girl for further tests, which he says contributed to her death. The failings are placed at the foot of the treating GPs, who attended the girl nine times before eventually making a referral. That referral was made later than it ought to have been, and failed to state the girl's relevant medical history; the girl sadly passed away in January 2011. more...
