We have long realised the importance of being able to support our clients with their international activities, so in 1991 we formed an international network of independent law firms, called Advoc.

As clients' demands for services in worldwide markets increased the Advoc network was extended to include Advoc Asia in 1994 and Advoc Latin America in 2003. We have formed strong relationships with law firms and networks in the USA and dialogue has begun for the formation of Advoc Africa and Advoc North American (USA).

Advoc has extended its reach by adding North America to its fold with an official launch in Seattle.

Advoc firms are leading, full-service practices within their own jurisdiction and each of the member firms has detailed information on the experience and special knowledge of all the member firms, and have been invited to join because of their wide experience of commercial work in their own region.

Member firms respond immediately to the needs of clients of other member firms. In addition, there are no fees or commission for introductions and, following introduction, clients can work directly with the foreign member of Advoc (rather than through Ashfords) if this is more appropriate for their requirements.

Our solicitors from Ashfords forge strong links with lawyers in Advoc firms through day-to-day practice and regular meetings at various locations across the world. We have an active exchange programme with Advoc, which has seen French, Danish, Italian and German lawyers working in our offices.
