Legal trainees normally undertake a two-year training contract, but all recruits had carried out valid work for over a year before starting the training contracts, bringing forward their qualification by six months.
This year Ashfords had a record number of 24 legal trainees working in the firm's five offices in Exeter, Tiverton, Plymouth, Taunton and Bristol, including 13 in Exeter. Ashfords now intends to recruit up to 15 trainee solicitors each year.
Employment law and training partner Charles Pallot said: "We are very pleased to be taking on Brian, James, Katie and Laura early as qualified solicitors in Exeter and welcome their contribution.
"We have a near perfect record in retaining our trainees which is a key part of the firm's ongoing growth and success."
