NIE Application

Introduction

Every buyer or seller of a Spanish Property must have a Spanish NIE number (Spanish fiscal number) before the Title Deeds are signed.

Equally each beneficiary under the terms of a Spanish Will must also have an NIE number. In the majority of cases, the NIE application must be made in person. The application can be made at one of the offices of the Spanish Consulate in the UK or alternatively at the Police Station local to the Spanish Property (you will need to make enquiries as rules vary depending on the location of your property).
