Commercial Contracts & Services
Introduction
Ashfords' Commercial Contracts & Services department advises businesses on all areas of commercial contracts from basic terms and conditions of purchase or supply to multi-jurisdictional outsourcing agreements. The department has fee earners based in all offices of the firm providing both support for the corporate team and direct advice to businesses on their commercial contracts.
The department has a number of specific areas of sector expertise including retail, leisure, tourism, publishing and the utility sector.
Work handled includes:
- Terms and conditions of purchase and sale
- Agency agreements
- Distribution agreements
- Manufacturing and supply agreements
- Outsourcing agreements
- FSA regulated contracts
Recent work undertaken includes: - Advising the South West Regional Development Agency on the award of the new business link contract to Serco
- Drafting and advising Gro-Group International Limited on its multi jurisdictional distribution agreements including Canada, Australia, America and parts of Asia
- Advising Connaught on the standardisation of its general terms and conditions of trade
- Advising Advantage West Midlands on the novation of their broadband contracts
