Ashfords raises £500 for Children in NeedIntroductionRunning babies, yummy cakes and a top quality raffle will see city law firm Ashfords raise more than £500 for Children in Need. Solicitors and support staff shed their suits and dressed up for a two-mile sponsored fun run around Exeter Business Park, with Ashford House facilities manager Lawrence Smith braving the rain and donning nappy, baby grow and bonnet to complete the race. Other Ashfords partners, solicitors and staff took part in a raffle to help raise funds for the charity. Prizes included match tickets for Exeter City FC, cinema tickets from Odeon and Scott and vouchers from Bicton Park and local pubs. Jo Spalding, the firm's Children in Need organiser and paralegal in the Restructuring and Insolvency department, said: "Despite the rain, we had great fun during the run and hopefully our efforts, and those across the firm in Exeter, will raise lots of money for this very worthy cause." Employees at Ashford House, on Exeter Business Park, also made and bought cakes for a sale to raise additional cash for Children in Need. Notes to editors:
