![]() Equestrian property specialistsWhether you are looking to buy or sell a house with stables for your "leisure" horse, purchase a few acres of land for your ponies, or lease a stud farm or competition yard for business use, we have the expertise to help you Our specialist equestrian property team understand your needs. As we own and compete horses ourselves, we are aware not only of the legal issues involved in your property transaction, but also the practical issues. We understand that the accommodation for your horses can often be more important than the accommodation for you and that obtaining planning permission to construct your sand school may be more important than consent to extend the house. Planning is often an issue with equestrian properties as "horseiculture" does not fall within the definition of "agriculture". Planning permission will usually be required for the construction of stables, ménages and hay barns. It will almost always be required for a cross-country course and may even be required if show jumps are set up and used on the land. By instructing us early we can ensure that your paperwork is in order and no delays occur during the conveyancing process. We will investigate the position fully for you prior to exchange of contacts. We offer sound legal advice on all aspects of the sale/purchase and more importantly we speak plain English. Distance no object Wherever you are, we can act for you. Because we know that your time is precious we will keep you updated throughout the transaction at key stages. We also report to you with any legal papers for signature by post, fax or email, as preferred. This approach means that you will not have to take time out to visit us during the transaction, unless of course you wish to. Our Other Equestrian Services To complement our conveyancing service, we can assist you with the following:
